Senior Team Leader

Overview As our Senior Team Leader , you won’t just be managing tickets; you’ll be the heartbeat of a multi-regional Service Desk. Based in our vibrant Collingwood hub, you’ll lead a diverse crew across Victoria and New South Wales—plus our bilingual Japanese support team. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to hide behind a spreadsheet. We need a mentor, a bridge-builder, and a high-energy organiser who can balance technical excellence with genuine empathy. If you love the buzz of a 24/7 environment and know how to keep a team motivated, you’ll fit right in. Responsibilities Lead multi-regional teams and manage 24/7 rosters to ensure operations never miss a beat. Move beyond the "annual review." You’ll be a hands-on mentor, setting goals and fostering a culture where your team actually wants to grow. Act as the primary on-site point of contact in Collingwood, turning escalations into solutions and building long-term trust with our customers. Partner with the Operations Manager to coordinate resources during major incidents, patching cycles, and DR testing. Work with internal departments and external vendors to keep the technology pipeline moving and project activities on track. Review change records and team tasks to ensure our output is sharp, safe, and secure. What You’ll Bring to the Team A strong background in IT support (Managed Services experience is a massive plus) and a knack for leading by example. You can monitor live ticket workflows and SLAs in your sleep, while still keeping a proactive eye on service trends. Proven experience in conducting performance reviews and building individual development plans that actually inspire. The ability to be the "face" of Kinetic IT on-site, managing expectations and building rapport with stakeholders daily. Don’t meet every requirement? Don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you At Kinetic IT we value diversity and would actively consider candidates with varied backgrounds. In selecting the right person for this role, we will review your skills and experience as well as your personal qualities, attitude and potential for development.
