Cantonese speaking Social Volunteer, Residential Aged Care Home, Waratah NSW Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Hunter. We’re looking for a caring person who can speak Cantonese to provide conversation and companionship. You will brighten up the day for an elderly resident living at HammondCare Waratah as you spend an hour together each week or fortnight. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we’re passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
