Role : Tax Manager - Custody Services Location: Sydney Work Arrangement - Hybrid About the Role A leading financial institution is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee its Direct Custody business in Australia , supporting both domestic and global clients with tax relief services on portfolio investments . As part of a market‑leading custody platform you’ll: Manage tax product delivery for direct custody clients in Australia Act as a global custodian providing tax relief on investments across jurisdictions Ensure correct withholding tax rates are applied to Australian and non‑Australian assets Lead regulatory reporting processes, including AAIR (Annual Investment Income Report) with ATO Provide guidance on market practice and tax relief mechanisms Identify and address gaps in tax operations and governance Key Responsibilities Oversee tax reporting obligations and client tax information requirements Maintain strong governance and controls across custody tax processes Collaborate with global teams Stay ahead of market developments and regulatory changes impacting custody tax Skills and Experience 5-10+ years' experience in custody or tax product management Australian tax regulations and withholding tax on portfolio investments Proven ability to work independently and lead initiatives Experience with tax reporting and regulatory frameworks Strong knowledge of Australia tax matters and tax information reporting Background in governance and operational controls Prior experience in a custody business is highly desirable If you’re ready to lead tax product strategy in a high‑impact role, we’d love to hear from you Madhuri MhantaKey Accounts ConsultantLet's Connect ManpowerGroup is committed to being a Diversity Confident Recruiter and encourages applications from people from a diverse range of backgrounds, including people with a disability.
