Tax Manager - Lead Our Internal Tax Function REMONDIS Australia is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team in Mascot. This full-time permanent role offers the opportunity to build and lead our internal tax capabilities while reducing reliance on external consultants and enhancing our tax governance framework. About the Role As Tax Manager, you'll be responsible for managing REMONDIS Australia's complete tax function, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws while supporting our strategic financial transformation. You'll work closely with executive leadership, providing tax advice on business decisions and implementing robust governance frameworks aligned with ATO expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead preparation and lodgement of all tax returns including income tax, GST, FBT, and PAYG across all entities Oversee tax effect accounting and ensure accurate calculation of deferred tax assets and liabilities Provide strategic tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, restructures, and major commercial transactions Identify and assess tax risks from legislative changes and business activities Drive automation of tax processes and collaborate with IT teams to enhance data integrity Supervise and mentor tax staff while building internal tax capabilities Engage with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies including the ATO What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with CA/CPA qualification Minimum 8 years experience in senior tax roles, preferably in waste management or similar industries Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation including income tax, GST, FBT, Superannuation, payroll tax and
