This position starts as a casual role, with the potential to move into a full time position after 3 months for the right candidate. About JC Entertainment & Events We’re an event management and production company that delivers events clients remember for all the right reasons.Our work spans corporate conferences, awards nights, festivals, and community activations across the Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter, and Sydney regions. Our reputation is built on preparation, reliability, and teamwork. Every detail matters, from the gear in the truck to how we communicate on site. We’re a team that supports one another and values people who take ownership and lead by example. We also have a warehouse in Port Macquarie, and there may be times when you’ll travel to assist that team with events and projects. The Role This position is based at our Morisset warehouse and involves working across gear prep, on site event delivery, and team leadership.You’ll work closely with the Production Ops Manager and Warehouse Manager to make sure each event is delivered smoothly, safely, and to our company standards. As a senior technician, you’ll play an important leadership role, setting the tone for professionalism, problem solving, and collaboration across every project. Key Responsibilities Lead show builds, setups, and pack downs alongside the crew Operate and maintain audio, lighting, and vision systems Support and guide other technicians both in the warehouse and on site Manage time effectively and meet event schedules Ensure all gear is prepared, labelled, and maintained to a high standard Communicate proactively with the team and management Represent JC Entertainment & Events professionally with clients and venues Occasionally travel to support the Port Macquarie team as required What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who shares our values of reliability, teamwork, and respect, and who takes pride in doing things properly. You’ll bring: 3+ years of experience in live production (audio, lighting, or vision) Confidence leading and supporting teams Strong technical skills in at least two disciplines Hands on experience with: Allen & Heath consoles GrandMA lighting desks Blackmagic Vision switchers NovaStar LED processors, Pro presenter and PVP Shure/Sennheiser wireless systems ProPresenter or playback tools Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with Current RMS and Office 365 A valid driver’s licence MR or HR truck licence EWP or rigging ticket What Success Looks Like You lead by example and help the team perform at their best Events are delivered smoothly, safely, and on schedule Equipment is ready, documentation is complete, and clients feel confident You identify and resolve potential issues earlyYou contribute to a positive, respectful, and solution focused culture How to Apply To apply, please fill out your details and submit your CV along with a short video (up to 60 seconds) telling us about a memorable event you’ve worked on, what went well, what you learned, and why you enjoy the industry.
