About the role
As a People Operations Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting Amber’s growth by partnering with managers and developing and executing projects that eliminate high friction, amplify community and set our people up for success.

We see managers as the key drivers of our people processes and strategy and work closely with them to reduce friction across the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of People Operations, the ideal candidate is a people ops all-rounder that is energised by solving complex problems and has a strong operations mindset. You’re a self-starter who is results-oriented, loves coaching people and is constantly looking for ways we can do things better.

People Operations Business Partner responsibilities
Guide and coach managers across people-related areas such as performance management, employee engagement and change managementUse manager and employee feedback to improve the effectiveness of Amber’s core people processes and identify new initiatives that reduce friction and help the organisation scaleUnderstand common issues in a start-up and proactively resolve them through better use of processes and technologyLeverage data and analytics to provide insights and inform our overall approachProactively develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the businessAssist hiring managers with recruitment activities and advise on sound recruitment and selection practicesManage employee information and remuneration updatesRespond to employee queries promptly and ensure our people processes are well documented, efficient and foster a positive employee experienceEnsure compliance with related statutory requirements, as well as developing and implementing workplace policies and proceduresAt Amber, we want to hire self-starters who are eager to learn, and are comfortable working in a changing environment. 3-5 years of experience in People Operations / HR Generalist or Advisor rolesHas multiple years of HRBP experience in a high-growth tech company, specifically supporting technical leaders as their primary stakeholderSolid understanding of employment, discrimination and equal opportunity laws, relationship between policies, employment contracts, awards and agreementsProven ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholdersPrevious experience managing employee-facing initiatives end-to-end, writing documentation and/or providing training will be regarded highlyBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceNice to haves:
