Habitat Housing is a Sydney-based residential design studio specialising in high-end homes with refined detail, natural materiality and thoughtful, functional planning. We are a small, collaborative team working across projects from concept through to construction, with a focus on quality, clarity and beautiful documentation. The Role We are seeking a Senior Architect to join our studio in Concord. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong technical capability, design refinement and the confidence to lead projects across all stages. You’ll work closely with our Director, contribute to concept development, oversee documentation, coordinate with consultants and builders, and support junior team members. Key Responsibilities Lead design & documentation across multiple residential projects Develop and refine design concepts with the Director Prepare and manage DA/CDC documentation packages Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and builders Liaise directly with clients throughout the process Review project outputs and maintain studio quality standards Mentor junior designers and support their development Maintain documentation quality, drawing standards and workflow efficiency What You'll Need Registered Architect in NSW (or near registration) 6–10 years experience in high-end residential architecture Strong Revit proficiency (essential) Adobe Suite experience highly regarded Excellent documentation & detailing capability Experience preparing and coordinating DA/CDC packages Solid understanding of NCC/BCA and residential construction Strong client communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines A collaborative approach and strong design sensibility Australian citizens and permanent residents only will be considered for this role Why Join Us?
