HSIE Teacher (Legal Studies & Geography) (Years 7-10) Catholic Education Office Diocese of Wollongong – Edmondson Park NSW St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population over 1600 students in 2026. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis has finalised its new, modern 7th Stage of building development and offers state‑of‑the‑art learning & specialist KLA facilities. A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach HSIE - Legal Studies and Geography up to Stage 6. The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students to reach their full potential. Essential Selection Criteria Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church. Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L. Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning. Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Legal Studies and HSIE curriculum. Use a range of assessment strategies and analyze data to inform student learning. Qualifications Appropriate qualifications for teaching Legal Studies and HSIE Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
