BUSY GRIT (Girls Rising into Trades) is a targeted initiative supporting young women aged 14–17 who are at risk of disengaging from school and entering the youth justice system. We help them build confidence, resilience, and pathways into the Cairns high-demand trade industries. A bit about the role…As a Project Mentor, you’ll deliver one‑on‑one mentoring and coordinate group workshops to help participants overcome barriers and achieve their goals. You’ll work closely with schools, youth justice agencies, and community organisations and local industries to promote engagement and positive outcomes. Your role includes developing tailored action plans, facilitating program activities, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with compliance standards. This is a full‑time, 12 month fixed‑term position based in Cairns, reporting to the General Manager – Youth, Health and Community Services.
