What You’ll Drive The Improvement and Sustainability Officer will provide high level support and drive initiatives for Business Improvement & Sustainable Practice (BISP) across the Students, Strategic Planning & Policy (SSPP) Division and broader TAFE SA. The role involves high-level engagement with leaders and staff to support strategic and operational goals through expert advice, project management, and quality briefings informed by deep operational knowledge. Responsibilities: Provide direct support and assistance to the General Manager, BISP and directorate leaders and identify and address operational and strategic requirements for the BISP program for TAFE SA. Provide expert advice and analysis utilising a range of sources including data, information and known issues, and contribute to continuous improvement processes. Provide knowledge and discipline to realise the benefits needed to improve the BISP initiatives, managing numerous workflows in priority order allowing sufficient time to meet deadlines. Prepare and contribute to timely and well-researched briefings, reports and notes on sensitive and complex issues, including Chief Executive, Board, Ministerial and Parliamentary briefings. Develop project plans for complex activities involving several components and/or groups of people. The Skills You Bring Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective networks, provide sound, well-formulated written and verbal advice, reports and briefings to senior management and communicate and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and delivering on multiple initiatives/projects, working in a complex environment, responding flexibly to changing priorities and moving from detail to larger, strategic issues. High-level problem solving, strategic skills, provision of data and information Preferably with Business, Public Administration, Communications, or Project management qualification, and/or equivalent experience What You Need to Know A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
