Technology Manager, Midsize & Mobile Crushers Are you an ambitious, customer‑centric, energetic sales professional with a technical background looking to join a team of like‑minded people? Due to internal career advancement, the Minerals Sales team at Metso Asia Pacific is looking for a Technology Manager – Midsize & Mobile Crushers. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our installed base with Metso’s market leading Crushing Portfolio. The key equipment in the portfolio are Jaw Crushers such as Metso's Nordberg® C Series™ Superior™, Cone Crushers such as the Nordberg® HP Series™, and our mobile solutions such as Lokotrack® LT Series mobile crushers. In the role you will identify customer challenges and goals in collaboration with our experienced sales, engineering and delivery teams to proactively provide recommendations and solutions that meet customer requirements. The successful candidate will act as a product expert in the Market Area (Asia‑Pacific) by working in conjunction with customers, engineering houses, customer account managers, and the Crushing product teams to build the opportunity funnel. The position will be located in Perth, Western Australia or Brisbane, Queensland and will report to the Director, Technology Management. This role will include up to 30% travel. What you’ll do Drive profitable growth of the Metso Crushing business and maximize market share Manage the customer base in Asia Pacific and maintain key customer relationships at CapEx investment project/senior plant operations management level Manage sales funnel, particularly sales pipeline growth and prioritization of sales cases, and lead generation for CapEx and Services businesses Support overall business development and growth across other technologies (Business Lines) and Services through sales collaboration Provide sales case support for other technologies as required within the team Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor activities, including technology advances and site‑specific presence Follow up on previously won cases to ensure positive references and maintain good working relationships Input into the strategic direction for Crushing in the APA market area Who you are A desire and ambition to be responsible for Midsize & Mobile Crushers for Metso in Asia Pacific Minimum of 5 years' experience in the mining industry Academic background in a relevant technical/engineering discipline (e.g., Metallurgist, Process Engineer, Mechanical Engineer) with strong Minerals Processing knowledge Strong collaboration skills within Metso and the mining industry more broadly – essential Proven business and industry understanding Strong technical understanding of Crushing and Minerals Processing flowsheets from a processing and mechanical perspective Track record in developing sales opportunities and closing deals Customer‑focused mindset is a must Capability for strategy formulation to ensure we win deals Ability to work effectively with others in a matrix organization from a range of cultures within a diverse political, economic, technical and social environment Regular travel required (approx. 30% of time) What's in it for you A work environment where safety is the number one priority – both your physical and mental health are our priority Competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with an annual incentive program Additional annual leave benefits for all permanent and maximum term employees Flexibility in your working lifestyle – our team manages their own balance of working from home and in our office environment Gender Neutral Paid Parental Leave of 18 weeks at full pay Paid Volunteer Leave so you can give back to the local community or an organisation of your choice Active Social Club and company‑wide social events to support your social wellness Career development & education assistance to further your technical and leadership ambitions Metso is a frontrunner in sustainable technologies, end‑to‑end solutions and services for the aggregates, minerals processing and metals refining industries globally.
