POSITION OVERVIEW: At Novabridge the ServiceNow Technical Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance, technical solutions, and support to clients implementing and customising the ServiceNow platform. This role involves working closely with clients and your project team to understand the client requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring successful development, deployment and integration of ServiceNow applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Consultation and Requirement Gathering Participate in workshops and meetings to help understand customer’s business processes and requirements. Provide expert advice on ServiceNow capabilities and best practices. Solution Design and Development: Design technical solutions based on client requirements. Develop and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows. Configure ServiceNow using JavaScript, GlideScript, and other relevant technologies. Ensure the designed solutions are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to best practices. Implementation and Integration: Lead and/or execute the implementation of ServiceNow solutions. Implement ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM and others, aligning them with industry best practices. Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications as needed. Configure core platform features such as forms, lists, and UI components. Develop complex business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, and scheduled jobs. Perform data migration and ensure data integrity. Maintenance & Optimisation: Continuously monitor the performance of the platform and optimise workflows, scripts, and processes to improve efficiency and user experience. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with ServiceNow applications, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Apply upgrades and patches to maintain platform security and stability, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure alignment between the solution and business objectives. Provide expert guidance on ServiceNow best practices and act as a subject matter expert (SME) during design reviews, ensuring the scalability, flexibility, and robustness of the solution. Platform Security & Governance: Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and data security policies to ensure compliance with organisational security standards. Work with security teams to ensure ServiceNow follows governance, risk, and compliance requirements, including data protection and privacy standards. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality and quality of ServiceNow solutions. Identify and fix defects and issues during testing phases. Perform regular reviews and updates to ensure continuous improvement. Training and Support: Provide training and documentation for clients and end-users. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions. Assist with the creation of user guides and training materials. Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and industry trends. Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous learning activities. Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and methodologies. REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) is highly desirable. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required to completed within 6 months of employment. Additional certifications (CIS) in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, or CSM are preferred. 3-7+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer. Proven track record in developing and configuring ServiceNow applications across multiple modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or ITBM. Experience with designing and implementing complex workflows, automation scripts, and integrations within the ServiceNow ecosystem. ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist) Proven experience as a Technical Consultant or similar role with ServiceNow. Experience with REST, SOAP, LDAP, SSO, and other integration methods and standards. Deep knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and common ServiceNow applications, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog. Experience with ServiceNow's scripting language (Glide) and an understanding of database structures and relationships. Familiarity with security best practices, such as ACLs, data security, encryption, and governance. PREFERRED Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think strategically and critically. Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration: A strong team player who can work across different teams and departments, fostering a collaborative work environment. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to understand and meet customer needs, delivering high-quality solutions that improve user experience and business outcomes. Agile: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and adapting to changing requirements. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. ADDITIONAL SKILLS Successful candidates must either: Hold an active Federal security clearance of Negative Vetting 1 (NV1), or higher; or Be an Australian citizen willing to undergo the security clearance process.
