We are seeking an experiencedGeneral Education Assistant & Special Needs EA who is passionate about quality education. The ability to work in a team and foster positive relationships with students is a must. Commencing January 2026 – 12-month Fixed term with a review for extension . General Education Assistant – Working in Pre-Primary. Special Needs Education Assistant – Working in Secondary across 7-12. General EA – Part time – Mon, Tues and Wed (preferred but can be negotiated with the right candidate) Special Needs EA – Part time – 2 days per week, days can be negotiated with the right candidate Experience and skills Experience working with students working as a General Education Assistant in a School setting, OR Experience working with students as Special Needs Education Assistant in a Secondary School setting. Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team in the evaluation of educational programs. Ability to assist teachers in implementing educational programs. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of inclusive education practices. Have strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to manage and prioritise a number of concurrent tasks. Proficient in the use of technology. Flexibility to adapt to situations which occur within a classroom. Show creativity, innovative skills and initiative to implement programs and differentiate as needed to meet the needs of all children. Have a comprehensive understanding of ‘Duty of Care’ and place a high value on child well‑being. Possess a strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement and the achievement of high standards. Education/Qualifications Essential for Special Needs EA: Relevant qualifications or equivalent (Cert 3 or Cert 4 in education support) Experience working as a Special Needs EA supporting students with ADHD & Autism is a must. Current Working with Children Checks We are a warm, supportive, and family‑friendly Community School. Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). You will also be required to provide, or be willing to obtain, a current working with children check. The Working with Children Check is a compulsory screening strategy in WA schools.
