We're looking for a Portfolio Manager to coordinate work allocation and lead a group of engineers across multiple teams. You'll focus on matching skills to demand, supporting career growth, and ensuring sustainable delivery practices. This is a people leadership role with strong portfolio coordination responsibilities—not a coding role and not an executive position. What you'll do Lead workforce orchestration across multiple engineering teams, ensuring smooth allocation of work. Maintain a rolling capacity and skills inventory to support planning and delivery. Assign engineers to projects with clear timelines and minimal disruption. Coordinate AU↔IN handovers and ensure sustainable utilisation. Manage and coach engineers , supporting performance and career development. Drive onboarding quality and team engagement initiatives. Enforce process guardrails and publish weekly operational metrics. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve conflicts and improve delivery flow. What makes you a great fit Experience managing engineers or technical professionals —not just project teams. Strong stakeholder management across delivery, product, and vendor teams. Skilled in capacity planning, conflict resolution, and transparent communication. Familiarity with engineering lifecycles (software, platform, SRE) and delivery practices. Comfortable using scheduling and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Planview). Ability to uphold SLAs and quality gates for internal and external engineers.
