If this sounds like you look no further Arana Leagues Club is a premier recreational venue on Brisbane’s northside with 175 poker machines, 300 pax restaurant, 80 pax Café, three bars, a bottle shop, two function rooms and a kid's room. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Cook to join our catering team led by Simon Pettigrew, Executive Chef. The successful candidate will require the following : Minimum 3 years of Club or Pub cooking experience Cert III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) A current food safety certificate A calm and professional personality Excellent organisational and communication skills Flexibility to work across a 7-day / night roster. Key duties of the role include : Preparing, cooking, and serving food in accordance with the Club's quality standards and food safety plan; Ensuring the correct and efficient operation of designated section; Ensuring food wastage is kept to a minimum and maintaining wastage sheets; Receiving and storing food in accordance with the Club’s food safety plan; Communicating with kitchen, restaurant, and café staff in a clear and timely manner; In return we provide a great working environment and the chance to work with a professional and experienced team.
