About the Role As a Fabrication Trade Apprentice, you’ll develop practical skills to manipulate metal. Working under the guidance of qualified tradespeople, you’ll learn how to read and interpret technical drawings, operate workshop machinery, and safely use a range of welding and cutting equipment. Duration: Full time, four year apprenticeship, combining on the job training and TAFE block release training Location: Forrestfield, WA 6058 Key responsibilities Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications Cut, shape, and form metal using hand/power tools and workshop machinery Assemble and repair a variety of road transport equipment including tippers, bins, trailers and dollies Perform various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welds Conduct quality checks to ensure fabricated items meet required standards and tolerances Follow all workplace health and safety procedures About You A strong work ethic, initiative, and willingness to learn A genuine interest in developing a career within the trade area Reliable transport and current driver’s licence is desirable Valid forklift ticket or willingness to obtain one Basic to intermediate computer literacy Why BRE?
