Position Overview The Engineering Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and maintaining the information systems that support our engineering and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions, optimize system processes, and ensure smooth integration between software systems and shop‑floor operations. Task & Responsibilities Analyse, document, and translate engineering, fabrication, and production requirements into effective system solutions. Review and optimise existing workflows and processes, identifying efficiencies and recommending improvements. Design functional specifications, process models, data models, and system architectures to support business and production needs. Collaborate with software developers, IT teams, and vendors to implement and integrate systems such as MES, ERP, and PLM. Lead system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance tests, and support smooth go‑live activities. Provide technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and implement enhancements to maintain optimal performance. Maintain accurate system documentation, including user manuals, process flows, and training materials. Train and support end‑users, including engineers and production teams, and act as a liaison for change management. Monitor system performance, gather user feedback, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all system implementations meet regulatory, security, and data integrity standards. Qualification & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in a systems analyst, business analyst, or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Experience working with manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, PLM, etc.) is highly desirable. Strong analytical and modelling skills, including use‑case, process, and data modelling. Proficiency in systems testing methodologies, issue resolution, and user acceptance testing. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in cross‑functional engineering team. Ability to translate technical requirements into business outcomes, and vice versa. Knowledge of change management and user training for system implementations.
