View our Statement of Faith here: About the role The AHOD supports the Heads of Department in leading the development, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning on the home campus across one or more faculties, while managing resources and providing leadership to staff to ensure high‑impact and effective teaching and learning. This on‑campus role is pivotal in driving teaching and learning excellence, staff development and curriculum delivery. The AHOD contributes to the strategic priorities of the campus by mentoring staff, promoting innovation and ensuring effective education aligned with the Islamic worldview. Selection Criteria Exemplifies and promotes the Islamic ethos of the school, ensuring its philosophy, values, vision, and mission are embedded in all aspects of school life and that a nurturing, inclusive environment is maintained for students, staff, and families. Leads the effective implementation of the MFIS vision and educational philosophy to inspire staff, strengthen practice, and enhance learning outcomes for all students. Assist the HOD in leading and developing faculty staff through professional learning, mentoring, and performance management. Support curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting processes across multiple faculties. Ensure high‑quality teaching and learning practices, curriculum continuity, and student achievement. Promote innovation in pedagogy and the effective use of ICT and learning technologies. Monitor student wellbeing, academic progress, and foster strong staff–student–parent partnerships. Assist in organising co‑curricular activities, excursions, and special events. Use assessment data to enhance learning outcomes. Leads by example in modelling high‑impact pedagogical practices, effective classroom management, and differentiation strategies that support diverse learner needs.
