Job Overview Lazy Moe’s Mildura seeks an experienced Chef to work on a rotating basis within a fast‑paced environment. Our team values staff as much as customers and offers a great work environment. Benefits Competitive Salary: $76,600.00 - $78,000.00 Immediate start for successful applicant Full‑time work type Responsibilities Organise and control the operations of the kitchen to ensure a memorable dining experience for patrons. Duties include: Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies Quality control and tasting dishes, ensuring the right standard and proper presentation before leaving the kitchen Discussing kitchen issues with managers, dietitians, and staff Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations Selecting and training staff Freezing and preserving foods (if applicable) Creating a vision for the cuisine, inspiring the team and delegating tasks effectively Recruiting, motivating and managing staff Overseeing day‑to‑day kitchen operations, ordering food and managing inventory (including budgeting) Maintaining kitchen hygiene and cleanliness Preparing and plating dishes and contributing to menu design Qualifications & Experience Appropriate qualifications such as AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) at minimum Minimum 2 years formal experience may substitute for the formal qualifications Prior experience working in a fast‑paced environment Positive attitude, strong work ethic, good communication skills, ability to work well within a team, under pressure Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and shift flexibility (including mornings, late evenings, weekend shifts) Own reliable transport Innovative and organizational skills About Company Lazy Moe’s is an empire built on success, love for people, and food.
