About the Centre Carlton Baths is a vibrant community-based facility which offers a range of recreation and sporting programs for the Carlton and City of Melbourne community. In 2012, the facility underwent a $10.4M redevelopment designed to provide the community with a range of recreational, social, cultural and educational experiences. About the Role As a Duty Manager at Carlton Baths, you will have delegated authority of the Centre Manager, and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services in managing a range of facility functions on shift which may include; Maintaining a focus on 'Big Picture' issues Centre wide Testing and maintaining water quality according with Health Department regulations and GSPOs Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Centre's Emergency Action Plan Working autonomously as well as being an active leader This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $40.38 + superannuation + Y benefits. About You As a Duty Manager you will act as a positive role model in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities. You will identifying potential hazards and take proactive steps to reduce the associated risks. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users. Essential Qualifications Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Aquatic Technical Operator certificate Other Desired Qualifications or Knowledge Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation is an advantage Previous experience in a similar facility in a supervisory role is desirable YMCA Victoria (the Y) has robust policies and practices to prevent harm to children and young people.
