Re.Group operates a growing network of recycling and resource recovery facilities across Australia, including complex Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs). As part of our continued focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth, we are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to support performance, reliability, and standardisation across our operations. About the role Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Re.Group’s network of recycling and resource recovery facilities, with a strong focus on MRF operations Champion a proactive safety culture and support the consistent application of HSEQ standards across sites Identify, analyse, and support improvement projects focused on uptime, throughput, material recovery, and cost optimisation Lead and support root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving for operational and technical issues Develop, implement, and embed standard work practices, operational routines, and simple plant management tools Collaborate with site leadership and technical specialists to improve equipment performance and process reliability Support the integration of operational improvement initiatives with Re.Group’s broader growth strategy, including new sites and regions Contribute to the development of a strong continuous improvement culture across technical and operational teams About you Degree‑qualified in engineering or a related technical discipline, or extensive operational experience delivering similar outcomes Minimum 5 years’ experience in recycling, MRF operations, or a comparable industrial or processing environment Strong background in continuous improvement, process optimisation, and operational performance enhancement Sound technical capability with the ability to troubleshoot, analyse data, and translate insights into practical solutions Understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within waste and recycling or heavy industry Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across site and corporate teams Flexible and adaptable, with the willingness to support short‑term projects, site‑based work, or secondments as required Why us?
