You’re an experienced technology architect looking to take the next step in shaping banking innovation. We’re a forward-thinking technology team improving customer experiences at scale. Together, we’ll design solutions that enable Australia’s largest Retail Bank to thrive in a digital world. Our Technology team delivers world-class platforms and processes across CommBank, from customer-facing products to essential internal tools. We lead the industry in IT and operations with agile infrastructure and innovation in payments, internet banking, and mobile apps. The Chief Technology Office (CTO) provides architecture services — including domain blueprints, technology strategy, and governance — to support business aspirations today and into the future. As an Enterprise Architect , you’ll help define how technology powers experiences for millions of customers. You’ll design for scalability, resilience, and innovation — ensuring solutions align with our architecture principles and business goals. In this role you will: Shape architecture direction – Contribute to strategies that enable agility and growth across Retail Banking. Design for the future – Develop technical capabilities and solutions that meet complex business needs. Ensure alignment – Validate designs against our Reference Architecture and promote best practices. Collaborate widely – Work with product teams, engineers, and stakeholders to influence technology decisions. Support transformation – Assist with roadmap design, transition planning, and modernisation initiatives. We’re looking for architects who want to make an impact You bring a mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to help us deliver innovative solutions. We’d love to hear from people who are: Experienced in architecture roles within technology, financial services, or consulting. Skilled in designing solutions at scale, ideally with exposure to Retail Banking systems. Comfortable translating vision into actionable roadmaps and supporting technology change. Knowledgeable in frameworks such as TOGAF or BIAN, with practical application experience. Qualified in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
