Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services. We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and organised Emergency Department Clerk to join our busy and supportive Emergency team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our department and provides the first point of contact for patients and visitors presenting to the Emergency Department. As an Emergency Clerk, you will ensure accurate and timely registration of patients, assist clinicians with administrative processes, and provide compassionate, professional support in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Bring To The Role Experience in a frontline customer service role and the ability to effectively use problem solving and negotiation skills Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multi-disciplinary team environment Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills Willingness and ability to work a 24 hour rotating roster with flexibility and able to work additional shifts as requested Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment Ability to organise and set work priorities to meet department benchmarks and KPIs Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
