We’re looking for a friendly volunteer to visit a gentleman with a big heart and a lifetime of stories. Once a fireman he’s a fan of George Strait, Clint Black, footy, has a pet cat and used to enjoy lawn bowls. Originally from WA, now living in Sydney, he’s hoping for some company and conversation each week. Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.
