Advocare - Supported by Cockburn Volunteer Resource Centre – Coolbellup WA Advocare is seeking a Community Visitor Volunteer to devote a minimum of around an hour per week to support an older person in your community through conversation, companionship and friendship. Key Tasks Provide Face to Face Companionship About Advocare Advocare is a leader in addressing the rights of older people receiving Commonwealth funded aged care services and elder abuse in Western Australia. The Advocare Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme is an essential service connecting volunteer visitors with older people who are living in residential aged care or in their own home who are socially isolated and whose quality of life would be greatly improved by positive engagement and companionship. Please note this position is advertised by the Cockburn Volunteer Resource Centre on behalf of the organisation above. Category Seniors & Aged Care Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care, Time Required Minimum of 1.5 hours per fortnight, it is preferred if you can visit weekly.
