Parks Victoria is seeking a versatile and skilled Ranger who is dedicated to the continuous improvement of our parks. Working in one of Victoria's most iconic parks. Small passionate team, committed to continuous improvement of our parks. Structured salary progression About the role As a Ranger, you will be responsible for planning and delivering park services across the Point Nepean National Park and Collins First Settlement. On a day-to-day basis, you will work on facilities / asset maintenance, visitor engagement and natural resources management. This includes aspects of site inspections and servicing in the field, contractor inductions and supervision, project management, stakeholder engagement and supporting emergency response. You will be offered training, learning and development opportunities to deliver a level of environmental and service expertise. We're looking for someone with : Practical skills in visitor facilities, walking tracks and asset maintenance (crosscut chainsaw certificate, ACUP, chipper operation are required) A trade certificate along with certificates for operation of skid steer, truck licences and experience with major and minor plant and equipment are highly desirable. Knowledge of park management and experience managing environmental work and / or certificate is advantageous. Demonstrated experience in self-management and supervisory skills. Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
