About the role: The Security, Information and Privacy Division (SIPD) is responsible for the strategic direction, governance of processes, provision of advice, stewardship and promotion of protective and cyber security, privacy, information management and records management. The IT Portfolio Manager (Cyber Security & Incident Management) leads a portfolio of initiatives that protect Victoria Police information, systems and services. The role provides strategic oversight of cyber incident management and ensures capabilities are planned, prioritised and delivered to support frontline policing. Working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, the IT Portfolio Manager manages demand, budgets, risks and benefits so that cyber security investments align with organisational priorities and legislative, policy and regulatory obligations. Your duties will include: The IT Portfolio Manager role is responsible for: maintaining a contemporary cyber and information security incident management processes, updating and validating control sets delivery of key/critical programs of works and projects including SIPD & Cyber security strategy initiatives management of Incident & Security monitoring and Data loss protection teams Management of multiple services, suppliers and vendors providing their subject expertise to the organisation – SIPD Cyber & Information security incident management contribute to the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (OVIC) mandatory reporting obligations Lead and provide subject matter expertise, investigation and resolution of cyber security incidents reported via the Security Incident registry Internal and external audit recommendations and responses relating to security incident management Uplift and cross‑skill team members to ensure single points of dependency are remediated process efficiency through systematisation. About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: A tertiary qualification or an industry recognised certification in a relevant discipline such as information and cyber security, technology or business is highly desirable. Further Information: One (1) x full‑time, ongoing position available. This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre‑employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
