Project Controls Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead our planning, cost control, scheduling, reporting, and commercial tracking functions across multiple projects. This is a key leadership role within our project delivery framework, ensuring our teams have the systems, data, and insights needed to deliver safely, on time, and on budget. Why Join Catalpa? Key responsibilities include: Planning & Scheduling Develop, maintain, and oversee integrated project schedules across civil, earthworks, and transmission-line projects. Monitor progress, identify delays or risks, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain planning standards, schedule structures, and reporting formats. Cost Control & Forecasting Implement cost management processes including cost tracking, forecasting, accruals, and budget performance. Review and validate monthly cost-to-complete forecasts. Support commercial teams with variations, claims, and change management. Reporting & Performance Management Produce internal and client-facing reports, dashboards, KPIs, and earned value analysis. Ensure compliance with contractual and client reporting requirements. Support executive reporting and monthly business performance reviews. Risk, Change & Commercial Support Facilitate risk and opportunity identification and reporting. Oversee change management processes and assess schedule/cost impacts. Provide project controls input into procurement, subcontract administration, progress claims, and EOTs. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Lead, mentor, and develop project controls personnel. Strengthen project controls systems, templates, and tools. Drive continuous improvement and lessons‑learned initiatives. Build solid internal and external stakeholder relationships. About You You will bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership capability, and practical experience gained within civil construction, bulk earthworks, transmission-line works, or infrastructure delivery. You will have: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar. 5+ years’ experience in project controls, planning, cost engineering, or commercial roles. Strong understanding of civil or energy‑sector project delivery methodologies. Proficiency in scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost management systems. Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills. Ability to manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects. Solid understanding of contractual frameworks, variations, and construction‑commercial processes.
