As the WHS Manager, you will manage a small team of specialists, overseeing the Safety Management System and the WHS Risk Register. Your leadership will be crucial in delivering the Safety Matters improvement program, enhancing safety outcomes, promoting a proactive safety culture, and reducing financial costs.Key Accountabilities:Manage policies, procedures, processes, and standards to ensure all employees and contractors understand their safety responsibilities.Regularly review and update the risk profile of the business to ensure up-to-date safety measures.Develop and implement targeted initiatives to continually improve safety performance and promote a safety culture.Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersLead the implementation of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and support risk management.Conduct training sessions on health and safety matters, investigate accidents or incidents, and recommend solutions for improvement.Ensure compliance with Victorian legislation and communicate any legislativeSkills & Competencies6 + years of experience in Work, Health & Safety related rolesProven ability to lead a team and influence senior leaders and stakeholders to drive safety improvements.Experience in driving cultural and behavioural change in complex environments.Proficient in inspections, audits, risk assessments, and data management.Strong understanding of high-risk activities and contractor management.Excellent observational, communication, and organisational skills.What's in it for you:Government AgencyPermanent OpportunityMelbourne CBD with hybrid working from homeAppy now to secure an interview or contact Ahmad Jahfar at
