About The Role Reporting to the Manager, Education, we are seeking 2 Education Officers to assist with delivering education regarding the obligations and expectations of entities regulated by Energy Safe Victoria to promote safety awareness and industry compliance. The role will oversee and administer the electrical licensing assessment regime in Victoria, including the development and maintenance of assessment tools and audit of approved assessment bodies. You Will Assist with overseeing and administering the electrical licensing assessment regime in Victoria, including auditing approved assessment bodies and assessors, and investigating potential breaches against the Energy Safe Assessment Rules. Develop and maintain Energy Safe's Licensing Assessment documentation and procedures, including electrical licensing assessment tools. Prepare and deliver presentations to industry stakeholders (including apprentices) to ensure that up‑to‑date information on electricity standards, rules, regulations, licensing and safety is communicated. Provide clear advice and recommendations to apprentices, employers, prospective licence applicants, RTOs, industry, community and other stakeholders about training and assessment requirements for licensed outcomes. Assist with the determination of outcomes for excessive attempt candidates, assessment of appeals, special consideration applications and complaints against approved assessment bodies. Assist with the analysis of apprentice and licence assessment results data. Assist in the development, implementation, ongoing maintenance and audit of the CPD program for licensed electrical workers in Victoria. Collaborate with SMEs, content writers, Guidance Officers and other Education Officers to ensure guidance and educational materials are accurate, current, aligned with regulatory requirements and standards and accessible to diverse audiences. Build collaborative relationships with RTOs, training and industry stakeholders and other community partners. Attend, contribute to and report on advisory committees for external stakeholder groups, such as the relevant Jobs and Skills Councils or other bodies as required. Participate in relevant industry sector events (training, professional development and community events). Assist in the development and implementation of Energy Safe apprenticeship safety programmes and strategies. Lead or participate in a range of special projects, such as training events for licensed electrical workers, electrotechnology trainers and approved licensing assessment assessors. Other relevant duties as required. To Be Successful, You'll Have Significant experience in a similar role with electrical industry knowledge and experience. Strong, up‑to‑date technical knowledge of relevant electrical legislation, regulations and safety standards. Experience in auditing systems and processes to monitor compliance and support continuous improvement. Extensive knowledge of the Victorian Apprenticeship Training regime and the Victorian Electrical Licensing Assessment regime. Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills with proven ability to effectively manage complaints and engage constructively with stakeholders. Ability to operate independently, self‑motivate, manage and prioritise a complex workload, and work effectively as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to lead, advise and drive continuous improvement. High‑level advocacy skills and the ability to assertively provide and deliver authoritative advice and findings while maintaining relationships when dealing with stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver industry presentations, seminars and educational workshops. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams), web and mobile navigation, email management and file management including OneDrive and SharePoint. Ability to take a strong ethical stand, maintain integrity and safeguard against conflicts of interest. Motivated to grow within the organisation and develop regulatory expertise. Experience in supporting compliance, enforcement and education within a regulatory or statutory authority (desired).
