Our client is one of the largest owners of renewable assets in the APAC, with a multi-billion dollar portfolio of developing and operational projects in wind, solar and battery storage. They have a strong financial backing, with more projects due to become operational soon.
About the Role
As an Investment Manager, you will assess the financial viability of renewable energy projects to assist with investment decisions. You will then be involved in further commercial negotiations as projects progress, assisting the technical team and Investment Directors through the development process. You will work across a diversified portfolio that includes projects in various stages of development, from greenfield to later stage, taking them to financial close.Renewable energy or infrastructure experience is ideal, however other suitable backgrounds will be considered.
ResponsibilitiesIdentifying and evaluating new renewable energy project opportunities across AustraliaConducting financial analysis, risk assessments, and market research to evaluate potential investment opportunitiesRun and interpret financial models to assess project feasibility, projected returns, and risksPrepare and manage budgets for Capex and Opex, project schedules, and technical inputs into financial models, supporting overall project business case developmentLead and assist with negotiation of high value contracts, overseeing EPC, PPA, procurement and other commercial agreementsSkills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.Solid understanding of financial concepts, investment principles, and risk managementExperience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, acquisitions and investment analysisExposure to project development process from concept to final investment decisionExperience in the renewable energy sector or related fields such as major infrastructure, transmission, O&GExcellent communication skills to present data and negotiate commercial termsBenefitsSydney or Melbourne based candidates will be consideredExciting growth period with multiple projects in different stages of developmentJoin an established team with support from recognised industry seniorsSolid pipeline of work with strong financial backingMulti-technology portfolio
