The service is delivered by a dedicated team of Nurses and a Dietitian who support people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, and other forms of diabetes. As the Dietitian, you will: Deliver tailored dietary advice, education, and management support to patients meeting service criteria Work closely with diabetes educators, medical officers, and allied health professionals Support patients across the lifespan from childhood to adulthood Enhance access to care, build patient understanding, and strengthen self‑management Participate in one‑on‑one consultations, group education, and clinic‑based sessions You will receive: Professional support from the Dietetics Department Head of Discipline Operational support from the Diabetes Service Nursing Unit Manager Orientation and ongoing learning opportunities through diabetes educators, MHL, training days, and team/dietetics meetings About You You are a compassionate, capable clinician who is enthusiastic about supporting people living with diabetes. You bring a patient‑centred approach, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. You will also demonstrate: Understanding of diabetes technologies such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring Clinical experience supporting adults, children, and women with diabetes in pregnancy Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences Confidence working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Capacity to supervise students or less‑experienced staff Strong problem‑solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high‑quality care Essential Requirements Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, enabling eligibility for full membership with the Dietitians Association of Australia (or equivalent qualification recognised by the employer) Additional Information: To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
