What you’d be doing in this role As part of the Canva Grow product group, you'll be focused on building the surface inside Canva that brings creativity, data, and insights together — helping businesses grow through better advertising. You'll be leading product development at the intersection of publishing systems, creative performance, and integrated ad platforms. This Role Will See You Leading a high-impact engineering team to develop features that empower marketers to publish, manage, and optimise campaigns across major ad platforms Guiding technical strategy across both frontend and backend systems — including performance insights, publish integrations, and LLM-powered tools Building a scalable, high-performing team of engineers by coaching, mentoring, and hiring talent Collaborating closely with Product, Design, Data, and Ecosystem teams to align strategy and delivery Championing quality, performance, observability, and operational excellence across services Driving key initiatives like new ad platform integrations, publishing flow improvements, and creative recommendation enhancements You're probably a match if You're excited by greenfield opportunities and love solving fresh, meaningful problems in new domains You lead with autonomy and thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities You're energised by shaping systems and strategies from the ground up — with startup spirit and scale in mind You bring deep technical depth and a desire to grow your leadership craft You enjoy growing others through coaching, mentorship, and setting a high bar for quality You have experience leading cross-functional teams in complex technical environments About The Team We're Canva Grow, one of Canva’s newest product groups, born from the acquisition of MagicBrief.
