Responsibilities A Youth Mentor/Employment Consultant's Day involves: Supporting and understanding a caseload of youth’s barriers and working together to develop education and employment goals while developing plans to support the individual to achieve these goals Engage with young people in the local community to attract eligible participants to the service Attend local secondary schools to provide information to staff and students about Transition to Work, and support students who are exiting the school system to access Transition to Work Services Creating and sourcing education and employment opportunities for your clients Supporting and helping your clients identify their skills, abilities, and secure sustainable employment Providing and delivering a high level of customer service to our clients, employers, and stakeholders Building rapport and supporting our clients to increase their capacity to secure suitable employment through training and other support services Conduct, create, tailor, and implement an individual service plan with the client to support them through the employment journey and into sustainable employment Building sustainable and long-lasting relationships with local employers, registered training organisations and community organisations Maintain accurate records for clients Ensuring our local youth hub provides a safe and welcoming environment for young people Participate in local community, employment and networking events and forums to promote the transition to Work program, and build a network of local support services and employers and maximise successful outcomes for young people About You Passionate about working with our clients and local community networks Excellent communication skills and positive attitude Experience working in a performance driven environment Qualification in Social or Youth Work (Desirable) Previous experience in Employment Services, particularly Transition to Work Life-changing opportunities for individuals and committed workers for employers.
