AO8 Team Leader Procurement and Contract Management Public Sector People are working with a Queensland State Government Department to recruit an AO8 Team Leader – Procurement and Contract Management for an initial 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Location: Central BrisbaneContract: 12 month fixed termSalary: up to $156,000 per annum plus super Key Responsibilities Lead all procurement activities undertaken by the Department to support high‑quality services. Partner with senior internal and external stakeholders to manage development and implementation of procurement programs and contract/supplier management activities. Develop and implement policies, procedures and training material in accordance with Queensland Procurement Policy. Key Qualifications & Experience Extensive senior‑level experience directing and executing major procurement programs across large, complex, geographically dispersed organisations. Proven ability to influence strategic planning and provide expert high‑level advice on complex procurement, contract management initiatives. Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing staff in a dynamic, high‑pressure environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills, and ability to produce high‑quality correspondence, reports and presentations. Commitment to high‑quality client service and ability to build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on innovative, cost‑effective procurement solutions. Dedication to ethical workplace practices, employment equity and cultural diversity. Key Skills Formal qualifications or training in government procurement and contract management, law, or business management (highly desirable). Experience leading a procurement team.
