Team Leader, Contract Management

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Team Leader, Contract Management to join our team and make a real impact for our business unit, Information and Technology Partners (ITP). The position of Team Leader is responsible for leading a small, dedicated contract management team to monitor and evaluate contract performance, ensuring excellence at every step. ITP is hosted by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and delivers information technology and information management services to 7 government agencies. Our purpose is to provide effective and innovative services as a trusted, strategic partner distributing smart, secure and seamless solutions. The opportunity As our Team Leader you will oversee the ICT Sourcing Pipeline, working closely with partner agencies to prioritise and schedule sourcing services that meet stakeholder needs. You will have the opportunity to provide high‑level strategic advice and insights on procurement and contract management matters, becoming the go‑to expert for stakeholders, whilst ensuring your team consistently exceeds service delivery standards and achieves business performance objectives. You Will Also Be Responsible To Coordinate audit responses, maintain accurate contract records, and ensure compliance with procurement and reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery. Foster collaborative and constructive partnerships with internal teams, partner agencies, and suppliers. Lead or participate in projects and activities to help shape the future of our services. What We Are Looking For (qualifications, Registrations, Experience) We are looking for a visionary leader with knowledge and experience in applying and providing expert advice on procurement related policies, procedures or frameworks in a complex organisation, ideally with experience in a public sector or not-for-profit organisation. You must hold, or successfully obtain within 12 months of appointment, a Level 3 or higher Queensland Government Procurement certification. ( Additionally, You Will Have Considerable experience in high-risk contract development and/or management or relevant project management experience. Present technical information and risks in plain language, verbally and in presentations, and in written proposals and business cases. Experience in coaching others and providing leadership on procurement services and contractual provisions. Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in negotiation, with the ability to engage effectively and manage relationships with stakeholders. Knowledge of contemporary Queensland Government procurement policies and practices would be highly regarded. Power BI and Jira skills would be highly regarded.
