Senior Structural Designer

With a growing team and multiple projects in the pipeline, we are currently seeking Senior Structural Designers to join our team across our offices – Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. Reporting to the Design Manager, the role is responsible for contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems and components for mining-related equipment and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Management, ownership and coordination of structural design projects from feasibility level through to detailed design. Detailed design of structural plant elements Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure coordination and integration of structural elements with overall plant design Prepare design drawings with sufficient detail for fabrication where required . About you The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a passion for discovery and a commitment to workplace wellbeing and safety. As part of a small, tight-knit team, strong relationship building, and communication skills will be critical in this role. Skills and experience Tertiary qualification in structural design, with 6+ years of Multidisciplinary design experience in the mining and resources sector. Relevant experience in mining, minerals processing, and/or bulk materials handling industries. Experience across a range of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium and iron ore, is favourable. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing structural design in the Australian mining sector. Familiarity with engineering design software packages such as Bentley MicroStation and Prosteel desirable. Good presentation and communication skills at all levels.
