This hands‑on role lets you earn while you learn, gaining valuable skills while completing a Diploma in Local Government (Planning) (LGA50120). Over 24 months, you’ll be part of a fully supported program that combines on‑the‑job training with online study (potentially scheduled in the evenings). You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, carry out site inspections, review technical documents and submissions, and learn techniques to prepare reports to Council and Senior Management in accordance with Council’s policies while building practical skills that will set you up for a successful Council career.
