About the Role We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to lead investigative work to determine and document business requirements for the program. This role includes supporting a UX Designer to design an intuitive dashboard that reflects real‑time system status for UAV pilots. The engagement will run for approximately six months (intermittent involvement) and offers opportunities for travel to Adelaide and Canberra , clearance upgrades , and working in a protected environment on a high‑impact, engaging Defence capability project . Responsibilities and Accountabilities Conduct detailed business analysis to identify and validate requirements for ISR mission systems. Collaborate closely with a UX Designer to ensure dashboard design meets operational needs and enhances user experience for UAV pilots. Engage with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable outcomes. Participate in project meetings, planning sessions, and contribute to decision‑making processes. Research and rapidly learn new concepts to support technical and design objectives. Prepare high‑quality documentation and reports for Defence stakeholders. Requirements and Experience Technical Expertise: Demonstrable working knowledge of military/strategic ICT‑based mission systems within Secret and Top Secret domains. Communication: Skilled and effective communicator, both oral and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Security Clearance: TSPV Security Clearance is mandatory (opportunity to upgrade clearance provided). Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster strong stakeholder relationships. Planning & Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Analytical & Research Skills: Ability to conduct research and quickly learn new concepts to improve technical knowledge. Defence Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Defence projects, the Capability Life Cycle, and Defence IT systems.
