Dedicated education team and career progression pathways Full-time and part-time positions available Free onsite parking About the role Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse – Recovery / PACU to join our operating theatre on a full‑time or part‑time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided. Key responsibilities Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standard Support and liaise with the Perioperative Services Manager, staff and VMO anaesthetist Understand legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilisation standard Knowledge of accreditation processes and quality / risk management Essential criteria Current registration with AHPRA Previous experience in a CN / Recovery / PACU role, or more than 3–4 years in an anaesthetic nurse team‑leader role Completed relevant postgraduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment Commitment to quality patient care Compliance with NSQHC national standards Sound clinical decision‑making and problem‑solving skills Experience in a similar position (desired) Excellent communication and customer‑service skills Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks About Us With 120 inpatient surgical and medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, seven operating theatres, two procedure rooms, a day oncology unit and an ICU, Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.
