Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our growing team, based on-site and assisting our client to work within the HME or Field departments, you will play a critical role in driving asset performance, improving equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient mining operations for our client. Key Responsibilities Analyse equipment performance data and identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities. Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and lead improvement initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime. Develop and review maintenance strategies for HME and Field fleets including haul trucks, dozers, graders, excavators, and auxiliary equipment. Support field teams with technical troubleshooting and reliability-focused decision-making. Monitor condition-based maintenance (CBM) activities and ensure timely intervention. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and OEMs to improve asset life cycles and optimise component change-out intervals. Prepare reliability reports, performance dashboards, and recommendations for continuous improvement. Contribute to a strong safety culture by ensuring all engineering activities align with site safety standards and statutory requirements. About You Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or related trade with extensive industry experience. Proven experience in reliability or maintenance engineering within the coal mining industry. Strong understanding of HME and Field fleets and mining maintenance practices. Proficiency in data analysis, condition monitoring, and reliability tools. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams. A results-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
