About The Role This is a new kind of Business Operations role - one that blends traditional operational excellence with AI-driven leverage. As our AI-Powered Business Operations Lead , you’ll work across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Finance to turn data → decisions → systems → automation. This isn’t a research or engineering role. You’ll be the connective tissue between what AI can do and what teams need to do. You’ll spot inefficiencies, design smarter workflows, and drive adoption across the business. You’ll also shape how BuildPass uses AI day-to-day - defining standards, sharing best practices, and making every team more productive. What You’ll Do Process Design & Optimisation AI Enablement Operational Intelligence Strategic Projects Process Design & Optimisation Audit workflows, identify inefficiencies, and redesign them for speed and clarity Create templates, automations, and SOPs in Notion, HubSpot, and AirTable to make teams self-sufficient Use low-code and AI automation tools (Zapier, Make, OpenAI API) to remove repetitive tasks across functions AI Enablement Partner with functional leads to identify high-impact use cases for AI — from customer research to proposal generation Build and maintain prompt libraries, internal copilots, and mini-agents that accelerate team output Run AI training sessions to raise company-wide fluency and confidence Operational Intelligence Build and maintain dashboards that track GTM performance, retention, CAC payback, and cost-to-serve Use AI tools to speed up data cleaning, analysis, and visualisation — turning noise into clear insight for leadership Strategic Projects Support leadership on cross-functional initiatives — pricing experiments, geographic expansion, new product launches Collaborate with our global team across Australia, North America, and the Philippines. You’ll gain: Cross-functional mastery – Work across every department and learn how each drives business outcomes AI in action – Implement automations and measure their real business impact Systems thinking – Connect tools, data, and workflows so BuildPass operates as one cohesive engine Startup 0→1 experience – Shape how a high-growth SaaS company scales globally Leadership exposure – Collaborate directly with senior leaders on projects that shape the business What You’ll Bring To The Team 3+ years of experience solving cross-functional problems - whether in operations, strategy, consulting, or a fast-moving startup Proven track record of turning ideas into scalable systems that improve efficiency and outcomes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — confident with data-driven decision-making Comfortable with low-code/no-code tools (e.g. Zapier, Notion, Airtable, Make, Retool) and eager to experiment with new ones Confident using or learning AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity to automate tasks, summarise data, and improve workflows Experience designing or implementing internal AI workflows, building lightweight automations, or managing AI-related projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical ideas into clear, actionable, non-technical language Highly organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities and follow through independently Bonus: Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent-based systems, and an interest in applying them to real business problems Bonus: Exposure to the construction, SaaS, or startup environment and an understanding of how AI can drive real-world business impact Why BuildPass Construction is transforming - and BuildPass is leading that change.
