About the Company Our client is an international leader in logistics and freight forwarding with a global reach of over 100 countries. As a result of recent acquisitions and significant expansion, we are looking to add a new Customer Service Account Manager to their team in the Northern suburbs of Victoria. About the Role We are seeking a hands‑on Customer Service Account Manager to be based out of their Tullamarine site. In this role, you will be responsible for intercepting shipping orders, keying orders into the system, conducting follow‑up with requestors, customers and foreign company offices. You will provide communication between the various departments within the company and its customers to solve and support operational duties, ensuring the growth of volumes, GP and cross‑selling initiatives. Key Responsibilities Processes orders for shipment received from customer or foreign company offices. Compile, sort and verify accuracy of data to be entered. Examine records such as bills of lading and related documents of shipments, informing customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed. Submit total cost for customers into the system, record or file a copy of orders received as requested. Drive better overall sales and marketing intelligence/insight into target assignments. Acquire new traffic opportunities for import, export and additional local services, post‑landing, customs clearance and spot business. Drive new revenue streams through better execution of marketing & lead generation campaigns and programs into the target assignments. Take marketing operational costs out of the business, driving better marketing ROI; confer with the operations clerk to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments. Investigate overdue and damaged shipments or shortages for customers and/or air and ocean carriers. Analyse complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring service‑failure complaints to designated departments for investigation and updating customers in a timely basis. About You We are looking for someone with: Previous experience in customer service, preferably within freight forwarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑first mindset. Proficiency with TMS software, specifically CargoWise. Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel. High attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and entering data. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently and efficiently.
