The Role of the Senior Registrar – Geriatric Emergency Medicine (GEM) Fellowship Based in Hobart’s scenic waterfront, this role provides a supportive learning environment for you to create your own learning journey. GEM learning placements can be arranged, with support from your FACEM and Geriatrician supervisors, in multiple specialties that manage older patients: clinics, ward rounds, home visits, hospital, community and allied health providers (Geriatrics, Palliative Care, Hospital in the Home, Geriatric Evaluation and Management at Home, Trauma, Older Persons Mental Health, Pharmacy, Emergency Medicine Assessment and Management Team, General Practice within residential aged care, and the Community Rapid Response Allied Health Team). You will also have time for a quality improvement or research project of interest, mentored by the Tasmanian Emergency Research (TASER) group. Period of Employment Fixed‑term, full‑time & part‑time, up to 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours protected training time (pro rata), commencing 3 August 2026 until 1 February 2027 (length negotiable up to 12 months).
