Location & Salary Location – Sydney, Melbourne or Traralgon Salary – starting from $152,074 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuation Employment type – Permanent, Full‑time Applications close at 11:59 pm AEST, Wednesday 17 December 2025 About the Role Design and implement data governance frameworks, policies and standards aligned with ASIC’s enterprise approach. Develop and maintain registry data taxonomy, definitions and quality rules to ensure accurate and reliable data. Lead data quality strategy and annual action plans to improve processes and resolve issues. Drive the use of registry data for intelligence and regulatory decision‑making across ASIC. Oversee data stewardship, governance and secure access to sensitive public and non‑public data assets. Establish reporting mechanisms, risk controls and compliance practices for data governance. Provide expert advice on registry data governance and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders. What We’re Looking For Proven experience (5+ years) in data governance, risk or related functions. Strong knowledge of data management tools, data architecture, metadata and governance frameworks. Understanding of legal and policy frameworks for data strategy and compliance. Experience managing data in regulated or commercial environments, leading teams and building stakeholder relationships. Tertiary qualification in data science, technology or business with a data governance focus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and influence decisions.
