Description Create your best future and join Westpac as aCredit Assessor Permanent full-time role Based in Melbourne CBD (Collins Street) You will attend full time training in the office (Monday to Friday) for approximately 6 months and then transition to hybrid working where you will work 3 days in the office and can work the remaining days from home This role will require full-time training over the Christmas period (not including the standard public holidays) Whats the role As a Credit Assessor you will support the mortgage application process for applications received from our Third-Party Broker Network handling both simple and complex cases such as PAYG LMI Construction Guarantor Home Guarantee Scheme and more. Key responsibilities include : Reviewing applications for accuracy and compliance with quality standards Assessing creditworthiness and serviceability while adhering to lending regulations Referring applications beyond credit guidelines to managers Building strong relationships with brokers by providing guidance and maintaining trust Ensuring audit compliance and quality standards are met to minimize risk Offering advice on application structuring credit policy and documentation.
