Canning Line Setter/Lead (Afternoon Shift) Union Beverages is a provider of contract canning and packaging for wine, spirits and other beverages. We are an Australian family owned and operated business that has seen significant growth since inception. About the role Due to growing business needs, a permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Canning Line Setter/Lead in our manufacturing facility in Dingley Village . This is a hands‑on role where you will lead the afternoon shift team on our canning line , ensuring smooth operation, efficient changeovers, consistent quality, and strong safety performance. Key responsibilities Efficient and timely changeovers on the canning line Set up, fine‑tune, troubleshoot and operate canning line machinery Conduct CIPs / internal machine cleaning as per SOPs Line clearance and start‑up readiness for afternoon shift production Train and coach production operators on equipment and best practices Conduct quality checks and maintain specified standards Strict focus on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Reduce planned and unplanned downtime with an autonomous maintenance mindset Ensure the line is ready for on‑time start‑up with required raw materials available Identify and action continuous improvement opportunities Key requirements Strict focus on Health & Safety Proven experience in a similar role within a beverage/food manufacturing environment (highly desirable) Demonstrated ability and experience in frontline leadership / team leading Sound understanding of 5S, GMP , and the application of HACCP standards High degree of accuracy, excellent time management and organisational skills Strong mechanical aptitude #J-18808-Ljbffr
