Airservices Australia is seeking a talented Engineering Specialist (Mechanical) to help shape the infrastructure that supports safe and efficient air traffic management and aviation rescue firefighting services across the country. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery ofbothlarge-scale infrastructure projectsand sustainment activitiesthat directlysupportthe aviation industry.You’llwork with a dynamic team of professionals to manage mechanical systems such as fuel systems, HVAC, radar drives, and generatingsets nationally acrossAustralia. What you’ll do: Provide expert engineering support across mechanical systems and services. Lead and advise on technical aspects of projects as a System Technical Advisor (SysTA) and Project Technical Lead (PTL). Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure supportability and compliance. Deliver technical documentation, reports, and presentations to diverse audiences. Apply systems engineering principles and contribute to continuous improvement. Ensure safety, compliance, and performance standards are met across all activities. What you’ll bring: ABachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering(or similar). Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration (e.g. RPEQ). Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering, ideally in design and project delivery. Strong understanding of systems engineering, Australian Standards, and relevant legislation.
