We are seeking a passionate and hands‑on Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join our team in a full‑time, ongoing position commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate will represent the school with professionalism and Christ‑like service while maintaining high standards of safety, presentation, and care across all facilities and grounds. You will perform gardening, landscaping, and general maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and cleanliness, support school operations and events, and demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and initiative in all aspects of your work. Key Responsibilities Professionally represent the school through personal presentation, conduct, and Christ‑like service while maintaining a high, consistent standard of service. Demonstr日讯 commitment to identifying potential safety and health hazards and taking appropriate steps to minimize associated risks. Carry out gardening and landscaping tasks including pruning, trimming, mowing, edging, planting, spreading mulch and fertilisers, spraying weed killers, and removing debris. Maintain and repair the irrigation and reticulation systems, follow gardening schedules and rosters, and complete oval marking as required. Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, including litter removal, emptying bins, attending to spills and breakages, assisting with event setups, and relocating furniture and equipment. Carry out general repairs and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and machinery to meet safety and WHS standards, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment and completing other duties as directed. Selection Criteria Essential Have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church. Accept the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief and educational objectives and be living a lifestyle consistent with the statements. Demonstrate an active, cooperative and enthusiastic involvement within the spiritual, academic, sporting, cultural and social dimensions of College life. Be a supportive team member of the College’s teaching fraternity. Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain). Desirable Suitable qualifications and experience in the required field of grounds maintenance is advantageous but not essential. Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively. Adaptable and able to respond to urgent issues as they arise. Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, lifting, and handling equipment. A commitment to maintaining a safe and pleasant school environment.
