FINANCE MANAGER (CA / CPA) – ANF WA Branch Make a real impact in an organisation that supports nurses & midwives across WA. The Australian Nursing Federation (WA Branch) is looking for an experienced and purpose-driven Finance Manager to lead our finance function and support the stewardship of member funds across our organisation. About the Role As the Finance Manager, you will oversee all financial operations for the ANF WA Branch across budgeting, reporting, payroll, governance, audit and compliance. You'll manage and uplift capability and ensure strong stewardship of member funds. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic advisory work and hands‑on accounting, and who is comfortable working within a complex, values‑based environment. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end financial management and reporting. Deliver monthly / quarterly board and management accounts. Lead annual budgeting and forecasting cycles. Manage payroll for staff. Oversee audit, statutory reporting, tax and compliance obligations. Maintain internal controls, governance and financial policies. Provide strategic financial advice to the State Secretary and Executive Team. Supervise and develop the Finance Officer / Bookkeeper. About You You're a confident finance professional who brings accuracy, integrity and a proactive approach. You enjoy improving systems, supporting people, and delivering clear, concise financial insights. What You'll Bring CA or CPA qualification (essential). 5–10 years' experience in finance or accounting. Experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role. Strong technical accounting, budgeting, and reporting capability. Knowledge of ATO, WAIRC, Fair Work, payroll and governance obligations. Experience leading or mentoring small finance teams. Ability to translate financial information for non-financial audiences. High attention to detail, discretion and professionalism.
